EC066 - ETNO Expert Contribution on the ECC PT7 proposal for categorisation of frequency bands

ETNO considers the four categories of frequency bands currently under consideration in ECC to be useful.

However, we believe that the Category 2 is too broad and does not allow sufficient distinction between the different radio applications within this category. As a consequence we propose that Category 2 is divided into two categories. This would enable those applications for which the implementation of harmonisation measures is of great benefit from an operational and user point of view (and which may also be designated in frequency Directives or Commission Decisions), to be recognised within their own category.
