Press release: Telefónica and Disney sign cooperation agreement

Telefónica, as the only Czech IPTV service provider, signed an agreement with Disney for the rental distribution of current movies through the O2 TV digital television network. Telefónica will offer in its Videotéka (Video Library) service movies launched by Disney in the Czech Republic. O2 TV users may therefore rent brand new movies from the renowned Hollywood Studio from September 5, using the Video Library service.

" O2 TV viewers may watch a selection of blockbusters that are released into DVD distribution from the comfort of their homes at the same moment. From September 5 we offer The Avengers, the third most successful movie in the history of cinematography, both in standard and high definition," said Aleš Veselý, Telefónica's Marketing Director - Households. All new movies will be available through the Video Library for 3 months.

Another treat that is now making its run through movie theatres and that will be available to O2 TV's customers already in December 2012 is the blockbuster Brave. The Video Library will feature also popular evergreens, such as the Pirates of the Caribbean series, Toy Story series, Cars and other popular Disney fairy tales. The latest production will thus be supplemented with 50 audience favourites.

HD movies are available in the HD section.
